ITEM 1: Cartoon
Analysis: The picture reflects the real situation of
our education: The government encourages more education without considering the
future of the student. And consequently, too many student graduate from too
many universities but they are still out of work.
Message: If the government wants to radically change society and much less eliminate
capitalism, they should
consider applying appropriate policies to make the education more effective.

a fly swatter.

"Hunting flies," He responded.

ITEM 3: Poem
If love is about the chase,
I would have run thousands of miles on end
If love is all about the hiding and seeking,
I would have lost count on where to seek
If love is all about playing the games, I would have been a master at it
If love is all about reading between the lines,
I would have given up trying
Yet, love comes when you least expected
While it throws you over the edge at times,
We still cling onto our expectations
Hoping that special someone will cross our path someday
-Charmed attic-
Rhetorical Devices:
- Repetition: “If love is all about” – 3 times, “I would” – 3 times.
-
Comparison: “Love” as “the chase”, “the hiding and seeking”, “playing the games”,
“reading between the lines”
Message:
Love is about giving and receiving and love needs patience never give up your
dream then love will come to you someday.
The picture reflects the real situation of our education: The government encourages more education without considering the future of the student. And consequently, too many student graduate from too many universities but they are still out of work.

Trả lờiXóaI totally agree with Long that you should denote the rhetorical devices in the picture. In the second item, in my point of view, the message of the story should be about the stereotype of men and women that are men addict to alcohol and women love gossiping.
Trả lờiXóaYour comment will be a good contribution to my entry. Thank you.
Xóayour story is very funny, and the rhetorical devices here is metaphor, quite clear but you should make sure about the message you show, actually you should not use the word " perhaps"
Trả lờiXóaYeah, the use of "perhaps" here is quite inadequate. Thank you for your notice, I will try to make correction to this.
Xóaabout the picture i didn't see "eliminate capitalism" as you mention. do you guess that from your experience
Trả lờiXóaOh, I mean that the government encourages education and this includes the purposes to eliminate the capitalism. But the main point I want to mention here is that the way they carry out their policy. It's ineffective and has no clear vision for the future. Have you got my point?
