Analysis:

From the past, people, especially those in Asian countries, have had prejudice about sexuality as well as sex education. Because sexuality has always been considered as a sensitive and private issue in social life, sex education was not conducted in the right way.

The woman wearing black suit in this cartoon represented the teachers and the educationalists. She teached nothing but “ No comdoms in schools! No sex education! Abstinence only! “ as they regard sexuality as something so embarrassing and motifying.

This can  result in early pregnancy and diseases which is symbolized by the girl right behind woman.

Hàn Quốc cáo buộc Triều Tiên tấn công mạng

Hệ thống mạng các ngân hàng và đài truyền hình Hàn Quốc đồng loạt bị tê liệt.

Theo Cơ quan Quản lý An ninh Thông tin nhà nước Hàn Quốc, các màn hình máy tính hoàn toàn trống trơn vào lúc 2h chiều (theo giờ địa phương) và 7 tiếng tiếp theo, một số hệ thống vẫn bị tê liệt.

Cảnh sát và giới chức Hàn Quốc hiện chưa thể xác định được tổ chức nào chịu trách nhiệm cho sự việc này và truyền thông nhà nước Triều Tiên chưa đưa ra bất cứ lời bình luận nào về sự cố.

Tuy nhiên, nhiều chuyên gia nghi ngờ cuộc tấn công mạng là do Bình Nhưỡng sắp đặt.

Tình trạng hệ thống mạng bị tê liệt diễn ra chỉ vài ngày sau khi CHDCND Triều Tiên cáo buộc Hàn Quốc và Mỹ dàn dựng làm sập các trang web Triều Tiên trong hai ngày vào tuần trước.

Sự cố mạng ở Hàn Quốc không làm ảnh hưởng tới các cơ quan chính phủ, nhà máy điện hay hệ thống giao thông vận tải, cũng chưa có báo cáo về thiệt hại đối với khách hàng của ngân hàng. Tuy nhiên nó lại gây đóng băng thương mại của đất nước trong ngày này.

Khách hàng không thể sử dụng thẻ ghi nợ hay thẻ tín dụng. Tại một cửa hàng Starbucks ở Seoul, khách hàng được yêu cầu sử dụng tiền mặt để thanh toán. Người dân xếp thành nhiều hàng dài trước các máy rút tiền của các ngân hàng.

Ngân hàng Shinhan cho biết hệ thống bị sập trong 2 tiếng đồng hồ, bao gồm dịch vụ ngân hàng trực tuyến và các máy rút tiền tự động. Sau đó, sự cố được khắc phục và mọi hoạt động đã trở lại bình thường. Shinhan cho biết dữ liệu và tài khoản của khách hàng không bị thiệt hại.

Ngân hàng Nonghyup, Jeju cũng báo cáo về sự cố mạng. Mạng của hai ngân hàng này cũng đã trở lại hoạt động bình thường.

Theo Ủy ban Truyền thông Nhà nước Hàn Quốc, đài truyền hình KBS và MBC cho biết hệ thống máy tính bị tê liệt lúc 2h chiều, sự cố tiếp diễn cho đến tận 7 tiếng sau. May mắn là sự cố không hảnh hưởng đến các chương trình phát sóng. Kênh truyền hình cáp YTN cũng gặp sự cố tương tự.

Bộ Quốc phòng Hàn Quốc cho biết quân đội nước này được ra lệnh sẵn sàng cao độ cho cuộc tấn công mạng, tuy nhiên các cơ quan của Bộ này không gặp vấn đề gì.

Seoul đổ lỗi cho các tin tặc Triều Tiên về một số vụ tấn công mạng trong vài năm gần đây. Tuy nhiên Bình Nhưỡng hoặc phủ nhận hoặc phớt lờ đi những cáo buộc.

Analysis:

In this article, it can be clearly seen that there is no evidence proving the North Korea attacked  the South Korea’s network. Some experts suspected that this action belongs to The North Korea just because it happened during the time when both two countries are at the risk of war.

Chanel Iman: The truth about race on the runway

Racial tokenism is alive and well and walking the runway, says Victoria’s Secret model Chanel Iman. The 22-year-old spoke candidly with the Sunday Times about her experience with racism in the fashion industry.

“A few times I got excused by designers who told me, ‘We already found one black girl. We don’t need you any more’,” she says. “I felt very discouraged. When someone tells you, ‘We don’t want you because we already have one of your kind,’ it’s really sad.”

Only six percent of models at New York fashion week this spring were black, Jezebel reported. Nine percent were Asian and two percent were Latin. A whopping 82.7% were white. In Toronto, where fashion week has just begun, shows have tended to have one or two black and Asian models, which isn’t super progressive for a city where 47% of the residents identify as a visible minority.

Iman holds the distinction of being only the third black model to appear on the cover ofVogue, albeit on the inside flap of a fold-out cover featuring nine other models, six of whom were blonde.

And while she was part of the famous 2008 issue of Vogue Italia that featured only black models, including Naomi Campbell, Tyra Banks, Yasmine Warsame and legendary Somalian supermodel Iman (no relation), race is more than just a theme. “Don’t give us an all-black catwalk show,” she says. “It doesn’t help us; it just puts us into a category.”

Iman does see signs of positive change. For example, she says that the booming luxury market in Asia has encouraged designers to use Asian models more frequently. “We have gone from no ethnic minority models in shows to ‘one’,” she tells the paper. “We need to get past ‘one’ to more.”

Analysis:

The discrimination against non-Caucasian models has continued in the fashion capitals of New York, Milan and London, because the top modelling agencies run by white owners and managers are racially biased against young black and Asian models who have been turned down many times while their white counterparts and peers have been given special preference and chosen ahead of the black and Asian girls at casting calls and auditions even in cases where the black and Asian girls look better than the Caucasian girls by miles.
